With the help of Rudolph Kastner of the Judenrat and some of his non- Jewish allies, you are provided with forged documents. These papers describe you as a non-Jewish worker.

You live with a Christian-Hungarian family. They do not know your true identity and think of you as another of the many people whose homes were destroyed by the fighting. Every day, you leave your rented quarters and do whatever odd jobs you can find. There are others like you, looking for employment, unable to find regular jobs, and so you blend in.

About twice a week, however, you cross over the Arpad Bridge and take a parcel of food to the wall of the Jewish ghetto in Pest. Although you are in hiding, you cannot abandon those unfortunate Jews who are trapped in the ghetto. Smuggling food to them is one way to help. You follow an irregular schedule so that no one will notice you. However, after a few months, you realize that you are being followed. This can only mean that the Arrow Cross is suspicious. If you do not stop smuggling, you risk arrest. You must consider your dilemma and make a quick decision.
